Christmas Unwrapped ~ Day 7

A "Giving Love"

"That's the kind of love the Father has. It is a giving love. It gives his most precious treasure—his Son. We need to meditate on that this Christmas. It was a very costly love. A very powerful love. A very rugged, painful love. The meaning of Christmas is the celebration of this love. "
-John Piper-

So here is a two-fold challenge I present to you,
to give some of that Christmas Love, using a few of the easiest expressions of love possible!

First challenge is easy, HUG SOMEONE YOU LOVE TODAY,
and TELL THEM YOU LOVE THEM!!!!!
Give them a kiss too, if you want :)

Second challenge is also easy, especially if someone you love lives in a nursing home.

“A test of a people is how it behaves toward the old. It is easy to love children. Even tyrants and dictators make a point of being fond of children. But the affection and care for the old, the incurable, the helpless are the true gold mines of a culture.”
-Abraham J. Herschel-

Most of you probably already know that I work in Long Term Care, if you didn't, well now you do!  So i'm a little biased about the second part of this challenge, but this is an awesome Christmas-time idea from the blogger & author Sara Mae:

"Look up local nursing homes and give them a call.  Put the date on your calendar to visit.  Make sure to plan something fun to do for the residents while you’re there!"

On your mark, get set, GO HUG SOMEONE IN A NURSING HOME!
Give them a kiss too, if you want :)
