"Can I make a bold statement?
If our sons don't have God,
they can't truly love.
I know that seems pretty harsh...
but I believe it's true.
Men tend to equate love with the physical,
women the emotional.
And certainly the fullness of God's nature
is found in both aspects of love.
But without God, love is often reduced to
superficial,
self-serving,
pleasure-seeking
feelings.
Real love,
like God's love for us,
never gives up.
May our sons always know and offer
that kind of love."

"Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?
And he said to him,
You shall love the Lord your God
with all your heart
and with all your soul
and with all your mind.
This is the great and first commandment.
And a second is like it:
You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
On these two commandments
depend all the Law and the Prophets."
Matthew 22:36-40
